The former Vondelpark pavilion was built in 1874 and is known to many people as the Film Museum, which closed its doors in 2012. After a thorough restoration, this special national monument was reopened in 2014 and used as the Media and Culture Lab of AVROTROS. The restaurant on the ground floor is called Vondelpark3. This special restaurant is open to the public seven days a week and is suitable for your event in the heart of Amsterdam.

On the ground floor of Vondelpark3 you can, for example, use for a group dinner or drinks. Here is a room that is tastefully decorated, with contemporary furniture and cozy sitting areas. The allure of the building is reflected in the beautiful marble floor, while natural elements such as the wooden tables and the large windows overlooking the park give it an accessible character. It is not without reason that the restaurant is known as the 'living room' of the Vondelpark. Outside the summer months it is possible to include the entire terrace in your event. This is a unique option, as the terrace is directly adjacent to the Vondelpark and one of the largest terraces in Amsterdam's city center. In the summer months, the platform is located higher up - perfect for drinks with groups of up to 200 people. With a beautiful view of the park, this is a perfect location for your event.

For other events, Vondelpark3 uses the television studios of VondelCS. These are two rooms on the first floor and are probably familiar to you from television programs such as MolTalk and WNL on Sunday. The studios are equipped with trusses and modern lighting; but at the same time, the beautiful wooden floor, high ceilings and original decorations remind us of the rich history of the monumental building. Both rooms are suitable for groups up to 150 people and are perfect for events where you combine a cozy dinner with a nice party.

Behind the high windows is the Winter Garden, a glass veranda adjacent to the landing. With the Vondelpark directly behind the high windows, the view in both rooms is great. Is the world on the other side of the glass too alluring? Then the studios can be completely darkened at any time by means of special curtains.

In addition to the two large studios, VondelCS has several break-out areas, each with a completely different character. There is the French Room, a slightly smaller space that has retained its authentic state. With the many classic decorative elements and perfect acoustics, this is a wonderful space for small presentations and concerts. The MediaCafé is an exhibition space where young artists exhibit their work, but which can also be used for workshops or even a pub quiz.

Op de begane grond van Vondelpark3 kunt u bijvoorbeeld gebruiken voor een groepsdiner of borrel. Hier bevindt zich een ruimte die sfeervol is ingericht, met een eigentijds meubilair en gezellige zithoeken. De allure van het pand komt terug in de fraaie marmeren vloer, terwijl natuurlijke elementen zoals de houten tafels en de grote ramen met uitzicht op het park het een toegankelijk karakter geven. Niet voor niets staat het restaurant bekend als de ‘huiskamer’ van het Vondelpark. Buiten de zomermaanden is het mogelijk om het volledige terras bij uw event te betrekken. Dit is een unieke mogelijkheid, aangezien het terras direct grenst aan het Vondelpark en een van de grootste terrassen is in de Amsterdamse binnenstad. In de zomermaanden is het hoger gelegen bordes – perfect voor borrels met groepen tot 200 personen. Met een prachtig uitzicht op het park is dit een perfecte locatie voor uw event.

Voor andere evenementen maakt Vondelpark3 gebruik van de televisiestudio’s van VondelCS. Dit zijn twee zalen op de eerste verdieping en die u waarschijnlijk bekend voorkomen van televisieprogramma’s als MolTalk en WNL op Zondag. De studio’s zijn voorzien van trussen en moderne verlichting; maar tegelijkertijd herinneren de fraaie houten vloer, hoge plafonds en originele decoraties aan de rijke historie van het monumentale pand. Beide ruimten zijn geschikt voor groepen tot 150 personen en zijn perfect voor evenementen waarbij u een gezellig diner combineert met een mooi aansluitend feest.

Achter de hoge ramen ligt de Wintertuin, een glazen veranda die weer grenst aan het bordes. Met het Vondelpark direct achter de hoge ramen is het uitzicht in beide ruimten geweldig. Is de wereld aan de andere kant van het glas te aanlokkelijk? Dan zijn de studio’s op ieder moment volledig te verduisteren door middel van speciale gordijnen.

Naast de twee grote studio’s beschikt VondelCS over meerdere break out-ruimten met elk een totaal ander karakter. Zo is er de Franse Kamer, een iets kleinere ruimte die haar authentieke staat heeft behouden. Met de vele klassieke decoratieve elementen en perfecte akoestiek is dit een prachtige ruimte voor kleine presentaties en concerten. Het MediaCafé is een expositieruimte waar jonge kunstenaars hun werk exposeren, maar die ook kan worden ingezet voor bijvoorbeeld workshops of zelfs een pubquiz.
