My name is René van Hooren.

I have been working with great passion and pleasure as a caricaturist and magician throughout the Netherlands and Belgium for more than 25 years.

As a caricaturist, I draw about 15 caricatures of your guests per hour! That's a caricature every 4 minutes! Much to the amusement of onlookers. Super fun drawings with a wink. Your guests always take home a fun and tangible souvenir.
I'm also a humorous (table) magician; professional tricks for young and old, using coins, playing cards, mentalism, and hypnosis.

So, not a standard performance, but a special and varied act for your party! A unique combination of magic and caricature drawing.

With my mobile drawing stand, I move among your guests and make caricatures of anyone who wants one.

Alone or with your partner, on a sheet of paper. If you'd like, I can draw a hobby or interest in the cartoon.

Also hilarious for bystanders to watch.

I draw the caricatures with marker and chalk in black and white. Standard size is A5, but A4 is also available.

Your logo or text can be printed on the paper, if desired. I'll include the drawings in an envelope.

I also perform dozens of powerful magic tricks for young and old, using coins, cards, and everyday objects.

I'm looking for interaction with the audience. I'm at the table, but I can also just walk around.

What a party!

René attended my father's 80th birthday, and what a party he made! He was incredibly friendly and professional, and made sure everyone who wanted it had a turn in a fun way; we didn't have to worry about it at all. His caricatures weren't exaggerated, but rather friendly and relatable, which made everyone happy. He also effortlessly adapted to the atmosphere and surroundings. We received enthusiastic feedback from many guests; it was a truly valuable addition to the party.
In short: highly recommended!

Awesome

Saturday hired René, really great. Right on time and immediately starts with his magic tricks, he does this so nicely, everyone is amazed at how he does it, really a good magician but also very nice.
After that he started drawing, which was really nice and fun. René is really recommended.

Last Sunday we had a very nice party with about 20 children and 20 adults. The mix between magic and drawing caricatures during lunch was great. Rene managed to entertain everyone, from young to old!

Great entertainment

On an evening for volunteers of the National Association De Zonnebloem Eindhoven branch I hired René. His table magic skills are impressive. The most masterful tricks are performed before your eyes, after which everyone is left with a feeling of disbelief and frustration [about the fact that you do not see how he does it]. The caricature drawings were also hilarious and a great success. For entertainment at a high level, 1 tip: just book René!!!!!

Nice combination of magician and illustrator

What a great combination, a caricaturist with a magician! We have had good experiences with René, a pleasant man. The magic tricks create a cheerful atmosphere and our residents really enjoyed being able to take a drawing of themselves home as a souvenir.

Summer drinks

René entertained our colleagues immensely by drawing caricatures and performing his magic tricks at various tables. The 3-hour program was a nice addition to the evening. It is accessible and entertaining. You don't know in advance whether it will be a success with colleagues, but people were very enthusiastic. Highly recommended!

Fantastic entertainment during a company party

René provided entertainment at our party in the form of magic tricks and making caricatures.
You can never be sure in advance whether it will be a success, I relied on the reviews on this website. Fortunately it was a great success! Our colleagues still talk about his rubber bands and card games. The caricatures are also nicely done. René is definitely recommended for any party!

Days of the Contact Center Employee

Last week we had the company of René on our work floors for 2 days. He has drawn many caricatures and made the employees laugh with his magic skills and accompanying jokes. Everyone had a great time and people are still talking about how fun and funny it was. The caricatures that were made at a fast pace were really nice, funny and recognizable. Successful performance at our family day

staff party

We were able to book Rene at the last minute to provide entertainment for a lunch / dinner with employees, partners and children. This was very successful! By doing a few magic tricks at the tables, the ice was broken and people easily took a seat in the chair for a caricature picture. For dessert, two more people under hypnosis with very nice reactions. Rene did a great job and everyone from children to the elderly thought it was very successful. It is therefore recommended to decorate your event!

The icing on the cake!

At our wedding we really enjoyed the high-quality offer of the magical caricaturist. He knows how to provide wonderful entertainment in a very humorous and unobtrusive way. He thinks along well about the content of the evening (if desired) and is well able to adapt to a mixed group. He was able to switch between magic and drawing at the right time and was able to provide a large group with a smile and a high-quality caricature (a nice extra memory!). What we also appreciated is the fact that he knew exactly when to distance himself (for example, with pieces) and when to make some extra effort. Certainly no regrets about choosing him. Recommended!

Laughed a lot

As a company outing, we did a workshop caricature-draw-your-colleague. We laughed a lot and ended up with nice (and ugly) drawings. In combination with magic and hypnosis tests, it was a workshop that is definitely recommended!

Magician and draftsman

Rene came to liven up our Back to the Sixties party with some amazing magic tricks. He also produced a large number of caricatures of our guests dressed in the 60-70s. This gave an already successful party an extra touch, which everyone talked about until long after the party. Highly recommended if you want to organize a party for up to 100 people.

We hired the magical caricaturist for our Christmas drink and it was a great success! The employees really liked it and enjoyed the magic as well as the drawing. Everyone wanted a portrait!
