Schooltheater Gusta brings accessible performances for preschoolers and primary school.
We always perform our theatre productions at the school itself, so you don't have to worry about transport.
When the weather is nice, we enjoy playing outdoors on the playground, but if it rains, all our performances can also be held safely indoors.
We have themed school performances for students from 2.5 to 12 years old.
Our 3 performances:
IT'S NOT TOO LATE
This school performance explains in a child-friendly way what trees mean to us, but also what goes wrong in the sea.
With circus, crazy clowning and magic, the children are taken on an exploration.
What is going wrong, what are the problems, but above all: what can we do to help the Earth?
Peter brings a message of hope,... It's Not Too Late!
Because everyone, big and small, can be an Earth hero…
Age: 2.5 to 12 years
Duration: 40 minutes
WASTE FESTIVAL
During this musical school performance, musician Kanza encourages the children to actively sing along to original songs about litter, sorting, recycling and reuse.
This musician uses homemade instruments, everyday objects, and even ordinary trash to create music. Using a loop station, he records these sounds and builds the songs step by step before his audience's eyes.
This show stimulates musicality, makes us think about waste and stimulates our senses!
Age: 2.5 to 12 years
Duration: 40-50 min
MESS
A street theatre show 'about' and 'with' waste.
In a very disarming way, Peter manages to incorporate the theme of waste, sorting and recycling into a hilarious street theatre act, also suitable for the very youngest among us.
But with his advanced whip technique and spectacular fire tricks, he also knows how to captivate less young children.
Let yourself be carried away by this hilarious, amazing and sometimes naughty show.
Age: 2.5 to 12 years
Duration: 40 minutes

It's not too late
We, the teachers and our preschoolers, thoroughly enjoyed the theater. Beautiful materials, a pleasant atmosphere, and Peter interacts with the teachers and preschoolers in a pleasant, child-friendly way. He's also very flexible.
Thank you for the wonderful, funny and amazing experience, we will book again for next school year!!

Highly recommended!
The children, and we too, thoroughly enjoyed the 'Waste Festival' performance!
Kanza put on a real show. One full of enthusiasm, humor, and music. We're always happy to have him at school.
It's great to let even the youngest students learn about the environment and waste in a relaxed and fun way. They're so enthusiastic that they don't even realize they're learning anything.
We are definitely looking forward to the next musical and educational moment and recommend this to everyone.

School performances 'Mess' and 'It's not too late'
We're very pleased with the performances. There was great interaction with both the students and the teachers. The balance between action and humor worked very well, and the educational component was presented in a playful and accessible way. Highly recommended!
Also a pleasant experience in the smooth cooperation with Peter.😀

Highly recommended!
We hosted Kanza yesterday for the waste festival. Highly recommended! Practical, fully equipped, and no assistance needed, plus helpful tips for setting up the venue.
A very powerful and fun performance! We specifically asked for the whole school (a small school), and we were very successful in getting all the students involved. Which is also an art.
Clearly professionally organised, which creates a great atmosphere, a lot of involvement and a pleasant cadence.

Theater sorting
The communication was excellent, and everything was perfectly arranged in advance. Clear agreements were made and adhered to. The teacher was incredibly enthusiastic and it was clear that he was thoroughly enjoying the performance. There was plenty of interaction with the audience, both with the children and with the teachers. Highly recommended, and he'll be back at our school every year.

Topact!
Theater Gusta has been coming to our preschool for several years now, and we're fans! Impressive tricks, playfully addressing issues at a child's level—great!

Thank you for the nice review.
I would love to see you next year!

Great performance at school and at the Ghent Festivities
I have already seen this performance twice: once at a school and once at the Ghent Festivities.
It was a bull’s-eye every time!
At the Ghent Festivities the park was packed with children of all ages, young people and adults.
Both the nursery and primary school children came to watch, and the performance worked well for both age groups.
The performance is full of visual surprises, some clowning and even magic tricks.
There is also plenty of humor in it and the message comes across clearly without being pushy or too didactic.
There was a lot of interaction with the children and he completely involved them in the story.
Even as an adult, I enjoyed watching it.
It is clearly a professional who has carefully considered this performance and who also knows how to convey it with enthusiasm and passion.
The teachers, children and I highly recommended it!
We enjoyed it, thanks!

Topervaring
Theater Gusta has performed three times in the past, and each time was a hit! Over 400 children aged 2.5 to 12 were captivated by the story and the actors' tricks. A truly wonderful experience for everyone.

Presentation: It's not too late!
On Monday, November 3rd, our preschoolers and first- and second-year students enjoyed Gusta's performance of "It's Not Too Late Yet."
With plenty of humor, music, and movement, the performer, Peter, demonstrated the importance of caring for our planet. The children watched in amazement, laughed, and the magic tricks captivated us!
A captivating, funny and educational performance about caring for nature!
We will book again next year!

Thank you Ms. Shaun!
I really enjoyed it myself. 😁

funny, wonder and also learn something
For several years now, our first-grade children have been enjoying performances at Gusta Theater. You get more than just a regular theater performance. They use sound effects, stuffed animals, and even makeshift cars come to life.
The performances "It's Not Too Late Yet" and "Messy" are incredibly funny. Every now and then, there's a trick that even the teachers are surprised to see, asking, "How did he do that?!" Both performances address the theme of the environment at a student-level level. Everything is presented in a playful way, yet with a message.
Both our students and teachers look forward to a performance by Theater Gusta every year.

Performance at our school
On Monday, October 13th, our school welcomed a special guest: children's theater company GUSTA came to visit with a vibrant, heartwarming performance for all ages. "It's Not Too Late Yet!" is a hilarious, playful, and surprisingly successful children's show about how we can all do something for our planet together.
During his two performances, Peter truly captivated everyone, from the very youngest to sixth graders. His message was always perfectly tailored, wrapped in a whirlwind of hilarious one-liners, breathtaking magic, and pure wonder. In short: GUSTA turned our school upside down… and left a valuable legacy.

performance: it's not too late
They say it is a performance for the entire age group from toddler to 6th grade. In reality it turns out that the performer has little experience with toddlers and young preschoolers. You can clearly see that the actor is very annoyed about the behavior of the children, you notice this annoyance during the performance. There is even a certain arrogance. This is partly because a lot of explanation is given and not much visual support is added. This is good for the 1st and 2nd grade but not for the younger ages. This performance only lasts 40 minutes and there were only a few captivating moments (1 trick is even repeated 3 times). Interaction with the audience is sought, but when the children do interact they are repeatedly asked to remain quiet. I think it is better to make a choice here than to make a choice. The children even have to laugh in their minds at the magic tricks, you cannot demand this from younger children. In terms of structure and vision there is still a lot of work to be done before you can ask such an amount for schools. For the third grade, this presentation is much too simplistic. Culture and environmental awareness can certainly go hand in hand, but do this with a solid vision and a heart for children. This way, no one benefits.

Beautiful
My youngest preschoolers enjoyed the spectacle from the last row. It was clever of Gusta to put them there. Impressive for the older students too. Great job! Children of all ages are amazed... so beautiful!

nlPrachtig
Mijn groep jongste kleuters genoten van het spektakel vanop de laatste rijden. Slim van Gusta om ze daar te zetten. Indrukwekkend ook voor de oudere leerlingen. Knap werk! Kinderen van alle leeftijden verwonderen... zo schoon!
