NetworkTables won the Award for Best Technology for Building Event Attendance at the recent Event Technology Awards in London. By virtue of the online platform that simply allows attendees to decide who they would like to sit next to during an event - NetworkTables has been able to boost rates of attendance by up to 30%.
The prize was awarded for the use of the platform at the Bits & Pretzels event that took place during Oktoberfest in Munich last year. The 5000 attendees received a link by email, allowing them to pick their seat at one of the 500 tables hosted by figures such as AirBnB founder Nathan Blecharczyk, Richard Branson and Kevin Spacey.
Increasing event attendance is one of the key goals for event organisers as well as optimizing face to face networking opportunities. NetworkTables allows attendees to plan such interactions in advance by selecting who they would like to sit next to.
Knowing which networking opportunity awaits, people are more likely to attend. NetworkTables increases both attendance and decreases no-show rates during events, as well as saving event managers the time they would agonise over how to seat attendees.
