1st Test Event in The Netherlands: Conference with 500 Guests

Fieldlab Events will start organizing test events on February 15th, with the aim of collecting insights and data on reducing the contamination risks at events.

Fieldlab will have the opportunity to conduct the research at eight events. Research is being carried out by, among others, RadboudUMC and BUAS in collaboration with Logistics Community Brabant, into contact moments in the bubbles and the behavior of visitors.

Participants in the studies undergo a PCR test up to 48 hours before the event and show a negative test result in advance. On the basis of the research results, work is being done on safe and responsible events with an increased visitor capacity, as before.

1st test event: Congress

The first research event will take place on February 15th in the Beatrix Theater in Utrecht. There Eventplatform organizes a business conference. The future of the corporate events industry is discussed under the title 'Back to Live'. The 500 visitors are invited by the organization. Fieldlab divides these into three groups of 250, 200 and 50 people for the research.

Other events like a concert, a stadion soccer match, ... are also already on the agenda. The Dutch gouvernment has also given permission for two additional indoor events and two outdoor festivals. The line up and dates of these events will be announced shortly.

PCR testing

Visitors are required to undergo a PCR test no more than 48 hours before the event. In order to access the event, a negative test result must be shown. In addition, a second PCR test will follow five days after the end of the event.
