During the 1980s, the Japanese came up with an interesting concept that later became the cornerstone of preventive health care and healing. It’s called “shinrin-yoku,” and it means “taking in the forest atmosphere” or the “forest bathing.”


This idea revolves around the impact nature has on our well-being and health. What shinrin-yoku has to do with your event? After all, you can’t exactly incorporate a “walk in the forest” into your event program. But if you want to design a holistic experience for your attendees, you can still find a way to have them connect with nature—by designing a green corner where they can relax between knowledge sessions and during breaks.
