One more year has passed and the 2019 edition of the 'Burning Man' festival has ended, leaving behind ecstatic attendees and multiple images that look like they were taken from a different world. 


Gathering world artists and entrepreneurs such as Elon Musk, Eric Schmidt, Jason Silva, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and Will Smith, Burning Man has become the trademark of creativity, innovation, and incredible art settings. Considering the incredible success just one festival can achieve, what exactly makes it different from other types of events? 


First, a festival focuses on celebration and using entertainment for raising awareness about specific topics. Second, the entire setting and design enables a different kind of experiences. Kevin Van der Straeten writes in his book EVENTS², “It is not without good reason that an event like Tomorrowland has become a worldwide hype. It is the unique experience offered by the festival that has turned it into such a huge success. The organisers go to almost extreme lengths to make the festival-goers feel happy. Not only is the entire festival area transformed into a fantasyland of fun and frivolity, right down to the very smallest detail.”
