Just list everything you need if you are going to organise a corporate event: the concept, the location, the furnishing (technical and creative), invitations, catering, security, permits, speakers, entertainment, ... the list is very long. Are there any of those things you can do yourself? Or are there people on the market who can organise this more efficiently? The answer to this question is often 'yes'.
Engaging an event agency also means that you do not bear the responsibility for certain risks yourself, and it also ensures continuity. Just imagine that your project manager is sick a few days before your event. And also not unimportant, in times of labour shortage, event agencies usually have a high-quality network of people who can be involved as real professionals at your event.
A tip: collaboration really works! Make sure you form a (close) team with the people from your team, the event agency, and the main event suppliers.
Another thing, when you want to collaborate with an event agency
If you request a quote from an event organisation agency, always ask in advance whether it is free or whether you have to pay for it. And you know what is also a hot topic? Pitching! If you are going to let the event agencies pitch, first make a pre-selection in advance to know what could be the most appropriate event agencies for you. Don't let too many event agencies pitch. This causes unnecessary work (and demotivation).
