15 years ago, sports icon Omnisport Apeldoorn was opened by State Secretary Erica Terpstra of Health, Welfare and Sport. In these 15 years, Omnisport Apeldoorn has developed from a top training location for track cycling, athletics and volleyball into a versatile event location for sports, public and business events.

Highlights in the sporting agenda were undoubtedly the finals of the 2022 ...

Highlights in the sporting agenda were undoubtedly the finals of the 2022 Women's Volleyball World Cup with 6,500 visitors, a sold-out Track Cycling World Cup in 2018 and the start of the Giro d'Italia with Tom Dumoulin, in pink, in 2016. Since February this year Omnisport is the location of Femke Bol's fantastic world record in the 400 meters indoors, who broke a 40-year-old record on the athletics track.

The location has also been the scene of many festivals and celebrations. For example, the location is visited annually by the Q-Music FOUT XXL party and has hosted various artists of national and international stature.

The business opportunities in Omnisport Apeldoorn are less known, but for large groups the sports halls offer the opportunity to accommodate conferences and parties for up to 10,000 people. The conference center, located between the sports halls, is suitable for conferences and business meetings for up to 500 people. Business highlights in recent years have been the Municipal Congress of the Dutch Associations for Municipalities, the conferences of several political parties and recently also the NVWA Parade and the RVO PIANO purchasing conference.

Great business and sporting events are also planned for the coming years. In 2024, the European Track Cycling Championships will visit Omnisport again and in March 2025 Omnisport will host the European Indoor Athletics Championships. This prestigious tournament can count on a lot of interest. With the strong current athletics class, a true Orange folk festival can be expected.

With the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris approaching, many Olympic athletes train daily in Omnisport Apeldoorn. This is the perfect setting for a meeting where a metaphor can be drawn with the business community. Achieving goals, performance and health are themes that fit perfectly in Omnisport Apeldoorn and can be framed by sporty speakers and clinics.

Omnisport Apeldoorn has been delivering top-level events for 15 years and will celebrate this in the coming period with regular sports clubs and business clients. If you are also interested in taking your event to the next level, our event planners will be happy to welcome you with a festive Appeldoorntje to view the possibilities and celebrate our 15th anniversary with you!
