The iconic concert and conference hall De Doelen stands on Schouwburgplein. With over 30 halls, it's a popular venue for (inter)national events and conferences, from intimate symposia for 100 people to large conferences with 3,000 attendees.

As a versatile concert and conference venue, De Doelen is ideal for a wide range of business events. The building comprises three sections. The Grote Zaal Quarter exudes grandeur with marble, chandeliers, and white armchairs and seats 1,755. The Jurriaanse Quarter, with its distinctive cube-shaped walls, is a stylish, medium-sized concert hall with a capacity of 450.

The Willem Burger Quarter is fully equipped for conferences and events, with modern facilities, transparent architecture, and flexible spaces. The Willem Burger Hall has a capacity of 700 people and is adjacent to a bright foyer with a roof terrace. There are also 10 breakout rooms for 43 to 240 people.

De Doelen is committed to sustainable business practices and has held the Golden Green Key certification for many years. The venue also offers extensive online and hybrid options, including high-quality streaming in the Main Hall and Willem Burger Hall via permanent camera systems.

De Doelen is easily accessible: a 5-minute walk from Rotterdam Central Station and several public transport stops, with five parking garages nearby. Exit tickets are available for clients at Schouwburgplein 1 and 2.

Get ready for a brand new listening adventure. De Doelen will open its doors from September! After months of streaming concerts and recording podcasts, it is now time to receive an audience. This week De Doelen went live with the 2021/2022 program and it promises to be a musical spectacle.

The Goals Studio sessions

To open the new season, the Doelen Studio comes with a surprising and varied weekly program. From Saturday 4 to Sunday 12 September it's time for the Doelen Studio Sessions, a showcase of things to come. Now only in the Studio, but later in all the halls and foyers of the beautifully restyled building; a remarkable program with a special Doelen twist.

Weekly jazz and pop concerts

From album release to performances by an instrumentalist and jazz trios. In 2021/2022, De Doelen is the place to be for jazz and pop lovers. Weekly concerts take place here with, among others, Ibrahim Maalouf, OUM, Brad Mehldau, Fabrizio Paterlini and Salvador Sobral. Up-and-coming talents such as 'Erasmus Jazz Prize' winners Peter Somuah Group are also reviewed.

Classic world top

As always, De Doelen welcomes the world's top classical music in its halls. For example, star violinist Janine Jansen plays the popular Four Seasons with Amsterdam Sinfonietta. We welcome the British Chineke! Orchestra in our Great Hall. Roomful of Teeth is guaranteed to set off fireworks during the performance of two winning Pulitzer compositions. The Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century presents the Zauberflöte and Der Schauspieldirektor with Roberta Alexander in the lead role, and these are just a few of the programme.

Maak je klaar voor een gloednieuw luisteravontuur. De Doelen opent vanaf september haar deuren! Na maandenlang concerten streamen en podcasts opnemen is het nu tijd om publiek te ontvangen. Deze week is de Doelen live gegaan met het programma van 2021/2022 en het belooft een muzikaal spektakel te worden.

De Doelen Studio sessies

Om het nieuwe seizoen te openen komt de Doelen Studio met een verrassend én gevarieerd weekprogramma. Van zaterdag 4 tot zondag 12 september is het tijd voor de Doelen Studio Sessies, een showcase van dingen die komen gaan. Nu nog alleen in de Studio, maar later in alle zalen en foyers van het prachtige gerestylede gebouw; een opmerkelijk programma met de speciale Doelen twist.

Wekelijkse jazz- en popconcerten

Van album release tot optredens van een instrumentalist en jazztrio’s. De Doelen is in 2021/2022 dé plek voor liefhebbers van jazz en pop. Hier vinden wekelijks concerten plaats met onder andere Ibrahim Maalouf, OUM, Brad Mehldau, Fabrizio Paterlini en Salvador Sobral. Ook aanstormende talenten als ‘Erasmus Jazz Prijs’-winnaars Peter Somuah Group passeren de revue.

Klassieke wereldtop

De Doelen verwelkomt als vanouds ook de wereldtop van de klassieke muziek in de zalen. Zo speelt stervioliste Janine Jansen met Amsterdam Sinfonietta de populaire Vier jaargetijden. We verwelkomen het Britse Chineke! Orchestra in onze Grote Zaal. Roomful of Teeth zorgt gegarandeerd voor vuurwerk tijdens de uitvoering van twee winnende Pulitzer-composities. Het Orkest van de Achttiende Eeuw presenteert de Zauberflöte en Der Schauspieldirektor met Roberta Alexander in de hoofdrol, en dit is nog maar een greep uit het programma.

Kies vier of meer losse concerten uit ons programma en ontvang 15% korting over de hele bestelling.
