De Schaffelaar Castle is a beautiful Neo-Gothic country house from 1852 situated on an extensive estate in Barneveld. The country house has a rich history and a monumental appearance. De Schaffelaar Castle was rebuilt in the 18th century by a Barneveld baron. The baron spared no expense for his new residence, and this is clearly visible. Two and a half million red bricks were brought in, and an enormous quantity of marble was imported from Italy. The castle is characterized by its corner turrets, balustrades, and marble details, as well as by its beautiful green surroundings. Nowhere in the Netherlands will you find a castle in this style that has been preserved so well. The interior of the castle has recently been completely renovated. As a result, De Schaffelaar Castle combines the allure of the past with all the modern conveniences.
History and modern technology
De Schaffelaar Castle is available for exclusive hire for various business events such as meetings, conferences, or symposiums. The castle features eight multifunctional rooms of varying sizes. Every room in the castle is equipped with technology and comfort: Wi-Fi, a basic AV set, plug-and-play presentation equipment, lighting, sound, microphones, and a stage. The venue is also wheelchair accessible thanks to a modern elevator.

De Schaffelaar Castle is a 5-minute walk from Barneveld Centrum station. By car, your guests can quickly reach the castle via the A30 and A1 motorways. Free parking is available at the Schaffelaarsebos car park (1-minute walk, approx. 50 spaces) or the De Vetkamp car park (3-minute walk, approx. 200 spaces).
