Gashouder is part of Westergas. Westergas has been a household name in Amsterdam for many years. In 2018, the buildings of the Westergasfabriek were renamed Westergas. The same site, new energy: the Cultural Park of Amsterdam.
In addition to cultural programming, Gashouder can be hired at select times of the year as a venue for large-scale corporate events. With a capacity of over 3,500 visitors, the iconic circular monument offers a rare combination of scale and intimacy.
Opposite the Gashouder stands the industrial De Wester, the former Transformatorhuis. This event venue offers endless possibilities: an intimate dinner at round tables, large-scale brand activation, a fashion show with a long catwalk, an inspiring trade fair and presentations, or a spectacular party for up to 770 guests. Additionally, it is possible to rent all the halls of the adjacent Westweelde, creating a total space of 1,530 m². Ideal for events with up to 1,900 visitors. De Wester can also serve as a breakout room in combination with the Gashouder (currently under renovation until 2026).
