Charborough Estate

Charborough Estate offers event organisers a collection of countryside settings in Dorset, from dedicated wedding venues to large open spaces for public and private events. Its venue portfolio includes Abbots Court, Almer Manor and Morden Lake, each with a distinct character and facilities for celebrations.

At Abbots Court, couples can choose between a renovated Victorian stable space for up to 80 seated guests and a Walled Garden pavilion for up to 120 seated or 150 standing. The property also has accommodation for groups, an on-site commercial kitchen and an outdoor bar. Almer Manor offers exclusive use of a country house and cottage, with a walled garden, an on-site church and a sailcloth marquee for wedding celebrations. At Morden Lake, a woodland setting is paired with tipi marquees, furniture, lighting, sound, a cocktail bar and on-site coordination. Couples can select their own caterers there.

Beyond weddings, the estate makes large open areas available for events such as car shows and concerts. This gives organisers scope to consider the site for outdoor gatherings that need room to shape the event around their plans. The estate also has picturesque film locations, which may suit production teams seeking a rural backdrop.

Organisers can contact the estate to discuss the setting and arrangements for their event. With historic countryside surroundings and several different venue options, Charborough Estate can suit intimate wedding weekends as well as larger outdoor occasions.
