The Shores at Five Island

The Shores at Five Island is a lakeside venue in Emmetsburg, Iowa, offering flexible spaces for weddings, business meetings, private parties and community gatherings. Set beside Five Island Lake and Five Island Golf Course, it pairs indoor event rooms with views across the water and an outdoor veranda for guests to enjoy during a reception or break.

The Lakeview Ballroom is the largest space, with capacity for up to 330 guests. It can also be divided into smaller rooms, making the venue suitable for different group sizes and event layouts. Other options include the Jack Kibbie Room, the POET Room, the Emmetsburg Municipal Utilities Room and a boardroom for smaller meetings. The venue provides room configurations for banquets, theatre-style presentations and classroom sessions where available. Audio-visual equipment is also available for meetings and events.

For weddings, couples can hold a ceremony in the lakeside greenspace beneath an arbor, or arrange an indoor ceremony. Reception packages include use of the ballroom, the veranda and ceremony area, along with tables and chairs, event staff and a bar service. Linens, chair covers, dinnerware and other selected items can be arranged as add-ons. Organisers may bring in a licensed caterer, as the venue does not provide event catering. Bar options include hosted drinks, a cash bar and drink tickets. With varied room sizes and indoor and outdoor settings, The Shores can accommodate occasions ranging from smaller meetings to larger celebrations.
