The Biscuit Factory

The Biscuit Factory is a distinctive event venue in Leith, Edinburgh, set inside a former Crawfords Biscuits warehouse. Its preserved industrial character, original features and creative surroundings give organisers a flexible setting for events, celebrations and productions.

The venue offers several spaces for different occasions. The Factory Floor is the largest, with room for up to 450 guests and areas that can be arranged to suit social gatherings and larger event formats. The light-filled Atrium provides a contrasting upper-floor setting for up to 120 people. For smaller meetings and workshops, the Crawfords meeting room can accommodate around 12 people in a boardroom arrangement, with flexible seating and a screen for presentations.

Organisers can hire space on a dry-hire basis, arrange a managed event or discuss an option between the two. The venue welcomes corporate functions, private parties, exhibitions, markets, food and drink festivals, live music and other creative events. Couples can also explore wedding hire, from a blank canvas celebration to a more coordinated day with help from the venue team and its suppliers.

Practical facilities include an in-house bar and security team, a PA system, loading access and a goods lift to the upper floor. The industrial rooms are also available for filming and photography, with the naturally bright Atrium and darker Factory Floor offering different backdrops. A ground-floor cafe operates on weekdays. With a choice of spaces and hire approaches, The Biscuit Factory gives event planners room to shape an occasion around their brief in a characterful Edinburgh setting.
