The Westport Event Venue

The Westport is a downtown Chico venue for organisers planning weddings, business events, celebrations and creative productions. Set in a renovated historic building, it pairs original architectural details, exposed wood beams and polished concrete floors with bright, adaptable interiors. Its central location also gives guests convenient access to nearby restaurants, accommodation and local attractions.

The venue offers three spaces that can be hired individually or together. The Library suits smaller gatherings, including board meetings, workshops, private dinners and intimate ceremonies. The light-filled Conservatory can be arranged for presentations, showers, receptions and other mid-sized events. For larger occasions, the Ballroom provides room for wedding ceremonies and receptions, galas, conferences, fundraisers and community events. Depending on the room and layout, the venue can host everything from small groups to several hundred guests.

Couples can use the spaces for ceremonies and receptions, with a private suite available for wedding-party preparations. Organisers of corporate meetings and retreats can choose layouts suited to focused discussions, training sessions or larger presentations. The venue also welcomes photo shoots and commercial productions, making its distinct rooms useful beyond traditional gatherings.

Rental arrangements include the booked space for the agreed event period, tables and chairs for up to 100 guests, access to a catering kitchen and basic audiovisual facilities. An on-site team member is present during events, and standard post-event cleaning is included. Organisers may bring their own insured suppliers, including caterers, and can ask about the venue’s furniture, bars and linen rentals. The Westport offers a flexible setting where planners can shape the layout and choose suppliers to suit their event.
