Star Hall

Historic Star Hall is a distinctive event venue in the heart of Moab, Utah, offering a memorable setting for concerts, theatre productions, film screenings, festivals, ceremonies, weddings and community gatherings. Built in 1905 and 1906, the venue is recognised for its Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, locally quarried sandstone and strong connection to Moab’s cultural history.

The auditorium combines period character with practical facilities for organisers and production teams. It features fixed seating with balcony views, a substantial stage, dressing rooms, backstage support areas, restrooms and accessible facilities on the main floor. Event infrastructure includes stage lighting, a public announcement system, an electric projection screen and a control booth. The venue accommodates approximately 290 seated guests, including designated wheelchair spaces, making it suitable for performances, presentations, talks and intimate large-scale gatherings.

Star Hall is available for public and private bookings through Grand County. Organisers can hire the space for performances, music events, ceremonies, festivals, meetings and other approved functions. A minimum booking period applies, and renters must arrange liability insurance and pay a refundable damage deposit. The venue has specific house rules, including a strict no-food and no-drink policy apart from water, and alcohol is not permitted on the premises.
