UTEC

UTEC offers a distinctive event venue in downtown Lowell, Massachusetts, combining the character of a restored historic building with practical facilities for modern gatherings. Its spaces are available for selected corporate, nonprofit and community bookings, with arrangements handled on a case-by-case basis.

The Main Hall is the largest space and can accommodate up to 300 guests, depending on the event format and room layout. Its historic architectural features, high ceiling, mezzanines, projection screen, projector, AV system and theatre lighting make it suitable for weddings, receptions, fundraisers, birthday celebrations, concerts, lectures, film screenings and larger private functions.

For smaller or more focused occasions, UTEC also provides a flexible conference and dance studio with sprung wooden flooring, mirrors, natural light, wireless internet and AV equipment. It can be arranged for meetings, corporate gatherings, private dinners, mixers and workshops. The Board Room offers a quieter setting for small meetings, training sessions and intimate gatherings, with a large monitor, dry-erase wall, wireless internet and lift access.

The nearby Catalyst Center adds a characterful option for training days, conferences, meetings and other gatherings. Its former Masonic Lodge setting includes a striking domed ceiling, projection facilities, flexible layouts and wireless internet, and it can be used alongside the main building for larger programmes.

UTEC can provide in-house catering, while outside caterers may also be permitted. Event staff can offer guidance on room layouts, supplier recommendations and practical arrangements. Tables and chairs are available, accessibility facilities are provided, and nearby city parking and vendor loading arrangements support event logistics. Venue tours are available by appointment. At present, UTEC is prioritising enquiries from nonprofit and corporate partners rather than scheduling ordinary private functions.
