The Agave Lounge at Mean Mule Distilling Co. offers a relaxed, characterful setting for private gatherings in Kansas City's East Crossroads. It suits corporate get-togethers, family celebrations, group tastings and cocktail-focused occasions where guests can mingle rather than sit down to a formal dinner.

The space can accommodate groups of around 15 to 45 people, depending on the day. There are seats for 30, combining conventional tables and chairs with lounge seating, and room for additional standing guests. The layout is designed for an informal, sociable atmosphere. A speaker and PA system are included, along with a host and bartender, and the space is accessible to wheelchair users.

Drinks are a central part of the experience. Private bookings can include a selection of the distillery's popular cocktails, made with its own agave spirits, as well as beer, wine and non-alcoholic options. Organisers can discuss drink arrangements and minimum spends when enquiring. Outside alcohol is not permitted, while hosts may bring in food from an outside provider, subject to planning the arrangements with the venue. The space does not have a kitchen and is not intended for formal seated dining.

For a more activity-led gathering, the distillery also welcomes enquiries about tastings, tours and cocktail classes. Private event hire is charged by the hour, with a three-hour minimum, while educational sessions are priced per person.
