Soi·rée

Soi·rée is an intimate event venue in the historic district of downtown Canton, Mississippi. Set inside a century-old brick building, this two-storey space offers a characterful setting for couples, families and organisers planning a private celebration. The venue is suited to events such as wedding ceremonies and receptions, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, birthday celebrations, baby showers and bridal luncheons.

The layout can be arranged for different styles of gathering. Soi·rée lists capacity for up to 100 guests for a cocktail-style event, around 75 for a seated dinner, and up to 80 for a wedding ceremony. Its information also recommends a limit of about 90 guests for a ceremony and reception, or up to 125 for a cocktail reception, so organisers should confirm the appropriate layout and guest count when enquiring. The upstairs and downstairs areas provide options for mixing reception, dining and social spaces.

The venue has a distinctive red room with large windows, antique chandeliers and high ceilings, as well as a projection display, wet bar, kitchenette and comfortable bathroom facilities. Rental includes a venue coordinator, tables, a selection of chairs and bar stools, a catering setup room, cake table, bar area with sink and wireless internet. Table linen is not included. Outside caterers and other vendors are welcome, and organisers arrange their own food, drinks, serving items and linen. There is no on-site cooking. Parking is available around the nearby square and adjacent buildings. Tours can be arranged by appointment, giving event planners an opportunity to view the space and discuss their plans.
