Gratz Commonspace

Gratz Commonspace offers rentable event space at 382 Bala Avenue in Bala Cynwyd, serving organisers planning weddings, large celebrations, conferences, meetings, classes and community gatherings. The venue is part of Gratz College's Bala Cynwyd campus and has been renovated as a shared place for events, learning and community use.

Organisers can enquire about a range of rooms and combinations, including the ballroom, library, café and community area, mezzanine, theatre and learning lab, and youth lounge. Individual spaces can be hired for shorter bookings, while larger occasions can use the main-floor spaces together or arrange a full-site buyout. The venue also publishes separate rental options for weddings and large celebrations, as well as conferences and convenings.

The mix of room sizes and layouts suits both focused gatherings and larger functions. A meeting or class can take place in a smaller room, while a wedding reception, corporate event or community celebration can make use of broader areas. The historic campus setting gives the spaces a distinctive character, while the recently renovated facilities provide a fresh setting for current events and programmes.

Gratz Commonspace is a venue rather than a full-service event planner, so organisers can discuss the space and rental arrangements with the venue team and plan other event services separately. Its flexible rooms and rental formats make it a useful option for event planners looking for an adaptable location on the Main Line, close to Philadelphia.
