Mercantile Hall

The Urb Garden is an outdoor event space at Mercantile Hall in downtown Burlington, Wisconsin. Its garden setting gives event planners a distinctive option for weddings and other celebrations, whether used for a ceremony, a drinks reception, photographs or time outdoors during a larger event.

The space combines cream-coloured brick, greenery and herbs with a custom iron gate and a cedar pergola. Café lights beneath the pergola create a softly lit setting after dark, while the garden's characterful walls and planting offer a natural backdrop for photographs. Hosts can shape the look around their occasion, keeping the garden's relaxed, urban feel or adding flowers and other decorative touches.

For gatherings that continue into the evening, the garden can be used for a bonfire, s'mores and outdoor games. Heaters are available in cooler weather, helping guests stay comfortable outside. Fresh herbs grown in the garden may also feature in Mercantile Hall's in-house cocktails, bringing a local detail to the guest experience.

The Urb Garden is part of Mercantile Hall, an event venue with indoor and outdoor spaces. Organisers can combine the garden with the main hall for a wedding or celebration, using the outdoor area for vows, a cocktail hour or a change of scene during the event. Mercantile Hall also hosts private and corporate gatherings, including holiday parties, showers, quinceañeras and meetings. The venue provides tables and chairs, and offers in-house bar services, sound facilities and event support. The outdoor spaces are on the first floor and are wheelchair accessible.

For event planners seeking an outdoor setting with greenery and historic downtown character, The Urb Garden offers a flexible space that can complement an indoor celebration or serve as a memorable setting in its own right.
