The Talcott Event Center

Set in Walloon Lake, Michigan, The Talcott Event Center offers organisers a distinctive venue for weddings, corporate gatherings and private celebrations. The historic building, once a boat-building school, pairs original lattice wood ceilings with a renovated interior and a characterful lakeside setting. Its adaptable space can be arranged for a reception, meeting, collaborative session, lounge or dining event, giving planners room to shape the layout around their programme.

The venue has approximately 3,410 square feet of event space and can accommodate up to 200 guests. Indoor and outdoor areas include a patio with a fireplace and string lighting, creating options for guests to gather outside as well as in the main room. For weddings, The Talcott is promoted for receptions and welcome gatherings, with rental items included and bar packages available. The venue can also form part of a wider Walloon Lake celebration, with other nearby locations available for ceremonies and related occasions.

Corporate organisers can arrange a tailored floor plan for meetings, executive retreats and strategic gatherings. Tables, cocktail tables, chairs, floor-length linens, pipe and drape, and set-up and take-down are available, with a dedicated event services team supporting the arrangements. Additional options include on-site catering, a stage, dance floor, bar set-up and standard audiovisual equipment. Local parking is available, and wedding bookings do not require a Hotel Walloon room block. The Talcott is an event venue with a distinctive historic character and practical support for planners hosting gatherings in Northern Michigan.
