Barra Castle Ltd

The Barn at Barra Castle is an exclusive-use venue in the Aberdeenshire countryside, set within the grounds of a historic castle and working farm. Its rural setting, gardens and open views provide a distinctive backdrop for weddings, corporate functions and private celebrations, while the barn's adaptable interior can be arranged to suit different guest numbers and styles of occasion.

Couples can choose from several ceremony settings, including the castle gardens, the lawn beside the barn and indoor spaces within the venue. Inside, the main room can be sectioned with curtains, and large doors open onto a terrace and lawn for an easy connection between indoor and outdoor areas. The barn is on one level and includes flexible lighting, a PA system with microphones, a bar and a comfortable seating area with a wood-burning stove.

For wedding meals, organisers can work with the venue's selected local catering suppliers, who have access to a fully equipped catering kitchen. Couples may also bring their own drinks, with no corkage charge. On-site lodges, converted from the castle's former gatehouses, offer accommodation close to the venue for wedding parties and guests.

The setting is also available for corporate events and other gatherings. Its flexible layout, countryside location and exclusive-use approach give organisers room to shape an occasion around their plans. Barra Castle's team can provide venue information and arrange tours for prospective clients. The venue is near Inverurie and within reach of Aberdeen and Aberdeen Airport.
