Virginia Horse Center

Virginia Horse Center is a large event facility in Lexington, Virginia, available to organisers planning equestrian competitions and a range of other gatherings. Set across 600 acres, the grounds combine specialist horse-sport infrastructure with indoor and outdoor spaces that can be hired for events.

The equestrian facilities include nine show rings, eight schooling rings, eight barns and a cross-country course. The 4,000-seat Anderson Coliseum centres on the Waldron Arena and can accommodate major competitions, shows, rodeos, concerts and sporting events. Additional indoor and outdoor arenas offer organisers a choice of settings and sizes for different disciplines and formats. Barn facilities include stalls, wash areas and manure pits, with temporary stalls available for larger events.

For receptions, private parties, meetings and corporate gatherings, the site also offers dedicated event spaces. The 9,500-square-foot Appomattox Mezzanine overlooks the arena and can host up to 400 people, or be divided into smaller areas. Other options include an enclosed gathering space beside the Winners Ring Restaurant, the Work Horse Café, and an outdoor picnic pavilion with views across the grounds. Catering arrangements can be discussed when planning a booking.

With substantial grounds, on-site parking and camping, the centre is suited to events that need room for horses, competitors, spectators or other guests. Organisers can contact the team to discuss the most suitable space, availability and rental requirements for their event.
