Tomales Town Hall

Tomales Town Hall is a historic venue in the rural village of Tomales, in California's West Marin area. Built in 1874 and still serving its community, the hall is available to hire for weddings, birthday parties, quinceañeras, fundraisers, concerts, seminars, workshops and other gatherings. Its characterful setting offers organisers a distinctive alternative to a conventional function room.

The main hall accommodates up to 150 guests. It has wooden flooring with radiant heating, large windows, a stage and a wooden bar, with adaptable lighting for different types of occasion. Outside, a grassy area beside the hall offers additional space for daytime events, with part of the lawn shaded by a mature buckeye tree. The lower level provides a separate meeting room for groups of up to 60, as well as a spacious kitchen and its own entrance.

Hire options are designed around the event schedule. Organisers can choose a day booking, an extended 48-hour rental, or a week-long booking for a seminar or workshop. The rental includes tables and folding chairs, and the kitchen is equipped with a commercial refrigerator, freezer, gas range, sink and preparation surfaces. For larger celebrations, the extended option allows time for set-up before the event and cleaning afterwards.

The venue also suits smaller meetings, classes and community gatherings, making it useful for organisers looking for a flexible space as well as couples and hosts planning a celebration.
