Festivalhal Donkmeer is a spacious event venue on the banks of Donkmeer in Berlare. Organisers can hire the indoor hall, various outdoor spaces or a combination of both. The venue is suitable for a wide range of events, such as performances, parties, public activities and larger gatherings. The hall can accommodate up to 1,100 people, depending on the layout and use of the exits.
Inside, the hall has around 1,080 m² of floor space, an entrance hall, a fitted bar, a cold room and toilet facilities. A separate space of approximately 230 m² can be used as a catering area, dressing room or bodega. Tables and chairs are available. The spaces are wheelchair accessible. Please note that the hall does not have a permanent sound or lighting system, so organisers can tailor the technical setup to their programme.
The complex also offers plenty of options outdoors. The open-air stage measures around 1,092 m² and faces a covered grandstand with 2,500 seats. There is also a large grassy area for outdoor activities. Technical facilities and control rooms are available on site, but the stage does not have its own permanent lighting and sound system.
The various spaces and outdoor areas can be booked separately or together. This allows event planners to adapt the venue to the scale and format of their event, from an activity in the hall to a larger programme by the water.
