Alte Schmelz

Saarbrücker Straße 38K, 66386 St. Ingbert, Germany

The Industriekathedrale Alte Schmelz in St. Ingbert is a spacious event venue in a historic industrial complex. The combination of distinctive industrial architecture and modernised infrastructure provides event planners with a special setting for company celebrations, conferences, trade fairs, concerts, theatre performances and television productions.

The site includes several areas that can be used flexibly: the Mechanische Werkstatt, a large event hall, the Alte Schlosserei, an entrance area, backstage spaces and outdoor areas. Individual areas can be booked separately or combined for larger events. The Mechanische Werkstatt has around 2,000 square metres of floor space and can accommodate up to 3,500 people without seating. Different formats and audience sizes are possible depending on the seating arrangement and layout.

Facilities available include architectural LED base and ambient lighting, internet access, and electricity and water connections. Blackout options and room dividers support a range of event formats. Direct access routes and technical infrastructure make deliveries and set-up easier. Backstage areas with dressing rooms, production offices and a lounge complete the offering.

The team can support event planners with planning and delivery on request. Event technology, technical staff and catering can also be arranged through the venue or selected partners. The Industriekathedrale is therefore suitable for both individual programme items and large-scale productions where the layout, facilities and schedule need to be coordinated.
