Drexel Hall

Drexel Hall is a historic ballroom in Midtown Kansas City available to event planners organising weddings, receptions, corporate gatherings and private celebrations. The venue combines period character with flexible space, making it suitable for everything from a seated dinner or fundraiser to a conference, concert or family celebration.

The main hall and balcony can accommodate up to 330 seated guests. Outside, the grounds include a lawn and courtyard that offer additional options for welcoming guests or extending an event outdoors. Wedding parties can make use of separate preparation suites for the couple, while the wider venue includes a stage, two bars and a catering kitchen. Tables and chairs are provided as part of the rental, and free parking is available on site.

Organisers have room to shape the event around their own plans. Drexel Hall works with preferred caterers, but outside caterers may also be brought in, subject to the venue's requirements. Hosts can arrange their own bartender and alcohol, provided service is handled by licensed professionals. A built-in audio-visual system, including projection and speakers, can support presentations, speeches and entertainment, with additional fees applying to some equipment.

The hall is generally reserved for a continuous 12-hour period, with rental hours scheduled between 10 a.m. and midnight. Weekday hourly options may also be available. Event planners can arrange a tour to review the spaces, discuss availability and consider how the ballroom, balcony and outdoor areas could work together for their event.
