De Sluisfabriek is a former machine factory in Drachten that provides a characterful industrial setting for meetings and events. Organisers can use the venue for business meetings, brainstorming sessions and exhibitions, among other things. Theatre performances and other cultural activities also suit the versatile character of the building. The venue can also serve as a backdrop for a music video or wedding shoot.
There are several rooms, each with its own atmosphere and purpose. The former production hall, measuring around 1,200 square metres, offers plenty of space for larger meetings, presentations and exhibitions. The canteen and the pop-up café De Draaierij are also available. For a small-scale session or a private meeting, there is the Bovenkamer, which can accommodate groups of up to eight people. This variety allows organisers to choose a space that suits the size and format of their programme.
The factory is also a meeting place for makers and new initiatives. This gives business and cultural events a different feel from a standard meeting venue. The spaces are suitable for organisers looking for a venue with a distinctive industrial backdrop and scope for a wide range of activities. Parking is available next to the building. If you would like to discuss the available space and the options for an event, you can get in touch using the form on the website.
