Detroit Lakes Pavilion

Detroit Lakes Pavilion is a city-owned event venue beside Detroit Lake, within the setting of City Park. It has a long history as a place for dances, concerts, weddings and other large gatherings, and the City of Detroit Lakes is now undertaking a major redevelopment of the site.

Please note that the Pavilion is currently under construction and is not available to rent. The City’s published project information describes a new, heated and cooled venue intended for use throughout the year. Plans include a 7,670-square-foot event hall, lake views, a catering kitchen, a bar and a green room that can also serve as a bridal room or meeting space. The wider project also includes an event lawn and improved access around the site.

The planned hall is intended to host weddings, corporate functions, community gatherings and private celebrations such as graduation parties, fundraisers, reunions and retirement events. Its open event space is designed to accommodate a range of occasions, with supporting facilities for organisers and their suppliers. The lakeside and park surroundings offer a distinctive setting for gatherings, while the planned indoor facilities are intended to make the venue usable in all seasons.

The City’s project schedule anticipates construction continuing through winter 2027-2028. Organisers should contact the City for current project and future booking information, as the published plans describe the redeveloped venue rather than facilities available to hire today.
