Zehntscheuer in Süßen is a historic event venue in the town centre. Its characterful building provides a special setting for cultural and community events. Inside, historic charm meets modern event technology. The rooms are suitable for talks, concerts, theatre, cabaret, film screenings, exhibitions and conferences. Readings, music and theatre events, as well as events organised by local associations and institutions, are also held here.

A range of seating arrangements is available for events. There is space for up to 120 people in row seating and up to 70 in a table arrangement. Depending on the occasion, organisers can request items including a kitchenette, glasses, a piano, a screen and small-scale sound equipment. Larger stage, lighting and sound equipment is only available for events organised by municipal institutions or associations, and may only be operated by people specifically appointed to do so. Catering is possible, but hot food cannot be prepared on site. If guests are to be provided with food, a catering business must be commissioned.

Selected private, non-commercial uses are also possible. The city considers celebrations for around 30 to 60 people suitable and requires events to end by midnight at the latest. Celebrations with a strong party focus, as well as commercial events intended to make a profit, are excluded under the terms of use. Bookings are made on request and are subject to written confirmation. Event organisers can obtain information and documents from the Volkshochschule office in Süßener Kulturhaus. Zehntscheuer is therefore particularly well suited to cultural events, association events, conferences and smaller private gatherings, provided they comply with the applicable terms of use.
