Biddenden Village Halls

Biddenden Village Halls offers two community halls for private hire in the Kent village of Biddenden. The rooms suit a range of gatherings, from children’s parties and family celebrations to wedding receptions, dances, meetings and group activities. Organisers can choose the space that best fits their plans, whether they need a more intimate room or a larger hall for a bigger guest list.

The New Hall measures 20 metres by 7.3 metres and can accommodate up to 180 people for dancing, 200 in close seating or 115 at tables. The smaller Old Hall is suited to more intimate occasions and can accommodate up to 90 for dancing, 110 in close seating or 60 at tables. Portable staging is available, and tables and chairs are provided.

Both halls have access to the kitchen, which includes a cooker, fridge, work surfaces, cutlery and crockery. The venue also has accessible entrances and toilets, and the halls are cleaned before each booking. There is limited parking directly outside, with additional parking nearby.

Bookings are arranged with the caretaker. First-time hirers meet with her before using the facilities, so they can discuss their requirements and receive an induction. Hire is organised in time sessions, with rates depending on the hall, type of booking and whether the hirer is local. Organisers can enquire about availability, hire conditions and arrangements directly with the hall team. The venue is run by the Village Halls and Sports Committee for the benefit of the parish.
