The Orpheum at Oxford

Set in downtown Oxford, The Orpheum at Oxford offers event organisers a historic venue with Art Deco character and flexible spaces for celebrations. The restored former theatre provides a distinctive setting for weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries and other private gatherings, with period features that give the rooms a sense of occasion.

The main ballroom is complemented by an upper balcony, allowing organisers to shape the space around their event. Couples can make use of a bridal suite with its own powder room and separate entrance, as well as a groom's suite for getting ready before the celebration. A catering kitchen is available for event catering, and an in-house bar gives organisers another practical feature to consider when planning a reception. The venue welcomes enquiries about different kinds of events, so planners can discuss the space and arrangements that suit their occasion.

For weddings, the building's theatrical history and vintage style provide a memorable backdrop for both ceremonies and receptions. Its rooms can also accommodate milestone birthdays, anniversary parties and social gatherings. The Orpheum additionally hosts public entertainment, including live music, comedy, films and community activities, giving the venue a role in local life beyond private hire. Located north of the Triangle region, it offers organisers a characterful Oxford address for bringing guests together. Contact the venue to discuss availability and event requirements.
