Kress BHM

Kress BHM offers event organisers two distinctive spaces for gatherings in downtown Birmingham. Set within the historic Kress Building, the venue combines a rooftop with a large ballroom, giving planners a choice of atmosphere and layout for weddings, corporate events, fundraisers and other celebrations.

The rooftop has indoor and outdoor areas and sweeping views across the city. It can accommodate up to 300 guests and includes a preparation kitchen, soft seating, outdoor gas heaters and a bocce court. Microphones and speakers are available following an audio-visual walk-through. Catering is not compulsory, so organisers can arrange food to suit their event. Covered-deck parking and security are included in the venue hire.

For larger gatherings or events needing more production facilities, the ballroom accommodates up to 550 people. Its open-plan space includes a stage, LED wall, lounge and bar areas, a cake room, conference areas, a preparation kitchen, and soft seating. Tables and chairs are available for up to 100 guests, with additional audio-visual equipment arranged after a site walk-through. The building has both lift and stair access, and covered parking and security are included.

Both spaces can be hired for timed event sessions, with different arrangements available across the week. Organisers are free to bring their own catering, and Kress BHM provides a preferred-vendor list covering caterers, rentals, DJs, florists, lighting, audio-visual services and photography. This gives planners the option to source suppliers independently or use local recommendations. The combination of rooftop views, flexible indoor space and a well-equipped ballroom makes the venue suitable for both social occasions and business functions.
