The Cedar Room

The Cedar Room is a distinctive private event venue in Charleston, South Carolina, set within the historic Cigar Factory. The space combines the character of an early twentieth-century building with a polished, adaptable setting for weddings, corporate functions and milestone celebrations.

The venue offers almost 8,000 square feet indoors, complemented by a 1,500-square-foot private courtyard. Exposed brick, reclaimed timber, hardwood floors, original columns and full-height windows create a warm backdrop with views towards the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge and Cooper River. The interior can host up to 300 guests for a seated occasion or 500 standing, while the courtyard accommodates up to 180 seated guests or 200 for a reception-style event.

Organisers can hire the venue for weddings, ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, charity galas, product launches, networking receptions, team dinners and other private celebrations. Venue hire includes exclusive use of the main room and courtyard, setup and breakdown time, tables, chairs, cocktail tables, a built-in bar, china, glassware, flatware and serviceware. On-site parking is available during evenings and weekends.

The Cedar Room also provides in-house catering and bar services, supported by professional bartenders and event staff. Wedding clients can arrange menu consultations and tastings, with service formats including passed appetisers, displayed food, plated dining and stations.
