Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center

Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center is a group accommodation and meeting venue in West Harrison, Indiana, set across a spacious rural property within easy reach of Cincinnati and Indianapolis. The centre welcomes organisers planning conferences, retreats, church gatherings, training programmes, camps, family events and other residential group occasions.

The venue combines flexible meeting facilities with overnight accommodation, dining and recreational amenities. Its largest space, the Graves Family Life Center, can accommodate up to 2,000 people and can be divided for smaller sessions, making it suitable for large conferences, assemblies and multi-part programmes. Additional meeting rooms are available in the lodge, barn, pioneer lodge and dormitory buildings, with capacities ranging from smaller groups to several hundred delegates. Rooms are climate controlled and can be arranged to suit the format of each gathering.

Accommodation includes a 48-room lodge with private bathrooms, Wi-Fi and a choice of room layouts, as well as dormitory buildings for larger groups. The dorms include their own meeting areas, activity spaces and shared shower facilities. Groups using the venue can also enquire about RV camping with full hook-up facilities.

On-site food service is provided through the Ferguson Dining Hall, which can seat up to 700 guests. Meals are prepared by the centre’s culinary team and served in buffet style, with options suitable for residential programmes, retreats and group conferences. Private banquets are also available during the festive season.

The Higher Ground team supports organisers with planning, room set-up, housekeeping and dining arrangements. Outdoor grounds, recreational areas and wooded surroundings add space for informal activities, reflection and fellowship alongside the main programme.
