Halls & rooms

Duurstede Castle features various rooms for both small and large groups. The vaulted Key Room – reached via a narrow wall staircase – is highly suitable for receptions. The David Room is a beautiful space for a party, and on the top floor you will find the castle's largest room: the Bishop's Hall. This room is ideal for presentations and meetings and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area. There are also opportunities to go outside; on the castle island, you will find a covered stretch tent set up from April through October. Both plenary meetings and events with multiple simultaneous sessions are possible. Furthermore, you can use the courtyard or the castle island for, for example, drinks, a networking session, or a workshop. Naturally, the castle has all the necessary technical facilities, and with our own catering, we ensure that you and your guests want for nothing. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful and peaceful park.

Accessibility and parking

The castle is located in Wijk bij Duurstede, close to Utrecht. The location is easily accessible from every region in the Netherlands due to the proximity of the A2, A15, A27, and A12 motorways. There is ample parking in the immediate vicinity of the castle.

Zalen & ruimtes

Kasteel Duurstede beschikt over verschillende zalen voor zowel kleine als grote gezelschappen. De gewelfde sleutelzaal - die je bereikt via een smalle muurtrap - is zeer geschikt voor ontvangsten. De Davidzaal is een prachtige ruimte voor een feest en op de bovenste verdieping vind je de grootste ruimte van het kasteel: de bisschoppenzaal. Deze ruimte is ideaal voor presentaties en vergaderingen en biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de wijde omgeving. Er zijn ook mogelijkheden om naar buiten te gaan, op het kasteeleiland vind je een overdekte stretchtent die staat opgesteld van april tot en met oktober. Zowel plenaire bijeenkomsten als evenementen met meerdere gelijktijdige sessies behoren tot de mogelijkheden. Bovendien kun je de binnenplaats of het kasteeleiland gebruiken voor bijvoorbeeld een borrel, netwerkgedeelte of workshop. Uiteraard beschikt het kasteel over alle benodigde technische faciliteiten en zorgen we er met eigen catering voor dat jij en je gasten niets tekort komen. Het kasteel is omringd door een mooi en rustig park.
