Franklin House

Franklin House is a historic venue in downtown Annapolis, offering event organisers a choice of spaces for business meetings, company gatherings and private functions. Set in a Colonial Revival building dating from 1908, it brings together period details and updated facilities in a central location close to the city’s historic district.

The venue’s spaces can be arranged for different kinds of gatherings. The Main Level covers 2,976 square feet and includes a boardroom table for up to 12, a full kitchen, two projector or television screens, a large foyer and a front verandah. Its original features, including timber floors, high ceilings and fireplaces, give meetings and receptions a distinctive setting. This level has wheelchair access.

For less formal occasions, The Downie Bar offers 2,000 square feet, two function rooms and a foyer and reception area. It can accommodate up to 75 people standing and has three screens, a Sonos sound system and original exposed brick and beams. Organisers can choose a space to suit their group and event format, whether they are arranging a focused meeting, a reception or a private celebration.

Franklin House is designed to host events in a characterful house rather than a conventional meeting facility. Its downtown address is convenient for guests visiting Annapolis, while the building’s historic architecture and views towards Spa Creek provide a memorable backdrop. Event planners can contact the venue to discuss the available spaces and how they might fit their plans.
