Carnahan Memorial Garden

Carnahan Memorial Garden offers event organisers an outdoor setting beside the Missouri Governor's Mansion in Jefferson City. Its landscaped grounds feature flower beds, reflection pools and winding paths, creating a distinctive backdrop for wedding ceremonies, photographs and other approved gatherings. The garden is also used for official state functions and rallies, while some private events may be considered through the reservation process.

The venue is managed by the Missouri Office of Administration, and use is subject to approval. Organisers apply with details such as the event type, date, timings and expected attendance. Requests are handled in order of receipt, and approved bookings are issued a permit. Events are limited to six hours, so planners should allow enough time within the booking for set-up, the event itself and clearing the grounds afterwards.

This is an outdoor location rather than a staffed reception venue. Organisers are responsible for bringing any chairs, tables or other event amenities they need, and for clearing away rubbish. Items that need to be fixed into the ground are not permitted, and activities must not damage the lawns or paths. Alcohol and fundraisers are not allowed. Weddings are specifically permitted, while other private functions are subject to approval. The garden also remains a public place when it is not reserved, so planners should confirm availability and requirements with the Office of Administration before setting expectations with guests or suppliers.
