Capital Event Center

Capital Event Center provides flexible meeting and conference space in Tumwater, serving organisers across the South Sound region. Its rooms can host small board meetings and private sessions, as well as workshops, training days, seminars, summits and larger conferences. Spaces can be booked individually or combined to suit different group sizes and formats, with the largest configurations accommodating hundreds of attendees.

Room hire includes a member of staff on site during the event, help with set-up and pack-down, tables and chairs arranged in the chosen layout, and equipment for presentations. Depending on the room, organisers can use projectors and screens or large monitors, presentation laptops, house sound, microphones, whiteboards and video-conferencing equipment. Classroom, U-shape, hollow-square and round-table layouts are available, making it possible to adapt the space for presentations, discussions and collaborative sessions.

The centre has more than 10,000 square feet of accessible event space, on-site parking, a warming kitchen for use by an external caterer and a picnic area for outdoor dining. Catering is not provided by the venue, so organisers can arrange their own food service. Webinar and videoconferencing support, technical assistance outside standard hours and additional staff time can be arranged for an extra fee. The venue is close to Interstate 5 and within reach of Olympia, with nearby hotels and transport options for visiting delegates. Capital Event Center is particularly suited to public bodies, nonprofits, schools and community organisations planning professional gatherings in the region.
