Hours

Hours is a gallery and flexible creative space in Colston Yard, in central Bristol. Its rooms provide a setting for exhibitions, meetings, workshops, classes and other small-scale gatherings. The programme has included visual art shows, poetry, life drawing, dance and yoga, reflecting the space's mix of gallery use and creative activity. Organisers with a suitable proposal can contact the team to discuss the space and its current arrangements.

The layout can be adapted to suit different uses. The room can be arranged as one larger space, divided into two smaller areas, or partially separated. Tables can be set out in different configurations, including boardroom and dining styles, while chairs and informal seating help create a more relaxed setting. Adjustable lighting and a hanging system support exhibitions as well as presentations and workshops.

Practical facilities include Wi-Fi, a kitchen with tea and coffee, a fridge, plates, cups and cutlery, plus a washroom with a basin and shower. The entrance is at street level, and the venue notes disability access to the washroom. There is no official parking within Colston Yard, although the yard can be used for loading. Nearby parking is available on Colston Street and at Trenchard Street car park.

Located just off Colston Street, Hours offers organisers a distinctive, adaptable space for creative and community-focused events. Its ongoing work with creative partners means the venue also functions as a gallery and multi-use project, so event proposals can be discussed directly with the team.
