Madre Mia Cultuurplaats Veenhuizen

Stoomweg 3, 9341 TH Veenhuizen, Netherlands

Madre Mia is a small-scale cultural venue in Veenhuizen, located on the historic grounds of the Stoomhoeve. The venue is in and around the old coach house, in a place closely connected with the history of the Derde Gesticht. This distinctive setting gives gatherings and cultural programmes their own character, without the venue feeling large-scale or impersonal.

The programme includes theatre, music, film, storytelling, discussions and workshops. There are also activities that bring culture together with a meal or a warm welcome. The programme varies, so organisers and visitors can check the listings for current programmes and possibilities. Madre Mia is also a place where there is room for new ideas and cultural encounters.

For event planners looking for a special venue for a small-scale gathering or a cultural initiative, the historic setting offers a striking alternative to a standard function room. The buildings and grounds provide an atmospheric backdrop for activities connected with the history and cultural character of Veenhuizen. The venue is in a rural setting, surrounded by greenery and historic buildings, providing a peaceful environment for meeting and meaningful programmes.

Madre Mia is the continuation of Coco Maria, with new organisers and a refreshed cultural programme. Anyone considering an activity or collaboration can get in touch to discuss ideas and possibilities. As the programme and availability may vary, it is advisable to agree in advance on the format and scale that suit the venue.
