Shelter 611 is a distinctive event venue at Park Vliegbasis Soesterberg, housed in a former F15 shelter. Its robust military architecture and green surroundings give gatherings a unique setting. The venue is suited to organisers looking for a spacious, flexible space for meetings, conferences, presentations, workshops and corporate activities, among other things. The shelter also offers opportunities for active group activities, photo shoots and filming.

The open indoor space covers approximately 780 m² and can be arranged to suit your needs. It can accommodate events for up to 350 people. The venue has electricity, lighting, a kitchenette and basic toilet facilities. The large steel sliding doors can be opened to reveal views of the surrounding natural area. A video setup with a screen is available for presentations. A permanent lighting installation can be hired. Tables, chairs, decorations and catering can be arranged through partner suppliers.

The grounds outside the shelter can also be used. The area around the former runway is suitable for active pursuits, among other things, and as a setting for photography and filming. Organisers can use the venue as the starting or finishing point for a group activity or team-building day. There are a few things to bear in mind when planning, to avoid disturbing nature and visitors: activities are permitted between sunrise and sunset, and amplified music is not allowed. The shelter is not heated. Organisers can contact the venue manager to discuss special requirements and practical arrangements.
