As well as handball matches, it hosts concerts, shows, sporting events, markets, trade fairs and exhibitions. Corporate parties, customer events, conferences and talks can also be held in the arena.
The hall can be configured with different seating arrangements or set up for standing audiences, depending on the occasion. There are several stage positions to choose from for concerts. The arena can accommodate up to 6,300 people at sporting events. Trade fairs have around 5,000 square metres of exhibition space across two levels. As well as the main hall, conferences can use rooms such as the Cupra Lounge and the press room. The boxes are suitable for smaller workshops.
The team helps organisers choose suitable rooms and discusses possible layouts and capacities. For business events, options include theatre-style seating, banquet seating and standing receptions. The arena can also be set up with tables for balls and galas. Additional technical equipment and catering can be requested to suit specific requirements.
The hall is located on the university campus in Flensburg, around two kilometres from the city centre. It offers event planners a central venue for productions that require plenty of space, flexible use or a large audience capacity.
