Zen House

Zen House is an intimate event venue in Memphis's Cooper-Young neighbourhood, available to hire for private celebrations, creative gatherings and small-scale business events. Its flexible indoor space suits birthday parties, showers, private dinners, workshops, classes, listening parties, DJ events, live performances, pop-ups and community gatherings. Small corporate and team events are also among the occasions it can accommodate.

The venue combines a handcrafted bar, warm wood finishes and adjustable decorative LED lighting, giving organisers scope to shape the atmosphere for different occasions. It can seat up to 60 people indoors, with tables and chairs available. Layouts can be arranged for a meal, a workshop, vendor tables, a performance or a dance floor with lounge seating. A covered outdoor patio adds another area for guests to use.

Music and presentations are a particular strength. The space includes a raised stage, stage lighting, a DJ booth, a professional sound system, microphones, a projector and a screen. Audio engineering or lighting design may be available as an additional service, and some amplified events may require a sound engineer. A green room behind the DJ booth provides performers with a separate place to prepare.

Rentals are generally BYOB and BYOF, so organisers can arrange their own food and drinks, catering, bartender and other event suppliers, subject to the venue's approval and rules. The venue has bar space, refrigerators and a kitchen area for host use. Organisers submit a booking request to check availability and discuss pricing, agreements and deposit requirements. Zen House also houses recording and rehearsal facilities, a separate creative service alongside its event-space hire.
