The Sanctuary at Jubilee Community Center

The Sanctuary at Jubilee Community Center is a flexible event venue in Montgomery's Cottage Hill neighbourhood, set inside a historic Gothic Revival building. The nonprofit-run space welcomes event planners organising gatherings for up to 80 people, with an open floor plan and adaptable seating for different occasions.

The venue is available for weddings and vow renewals, private parties, receptions, showers, meetings, team training, retreats, classes and workshops. Performances are also welcome, including concerts, plays, film screenings, readings and public talks. Its raised stage, projector and screen, and basic sound system support presentations and live events. Tables and chairs are provided, and Wi-Fi is included for meetings and workshops. In-house audio engineering may be available for performances by arrangement.

The Sanctuary is a do-it-yourself venue rather than a full-service event producer. Organisers arrange their own catering, drinks, décor, staffing and event logistics, giving them flexibility to choose their suppliers and shape the space to suit their plans. Rental options and rates vary by event type and duration, with wedding bookings offered as a full-day rental.

Accessibility features include a ramped entrance, accessible restrooms and a mobile ramp for stage access. Free street parking is available nearby, and a small lawn may be used when weather permits. Rental income helps support Jubilee Community Center's arts and community programmes, so hosting an event here also contributes to local creative work.
