McFarland Ranch Weddings & Events

McFarland Ranch Weddings & Events offers a historic outdoor setting for weddings, corporate gatherings, receptions, festivals and other large or intimate events in Galt, California. The 40-acre property dates back to the 1870s and is managed by the Galt Area Historical Society, which also preserves the ranch's buildings and local history.

The grounds provide organisers with room to shape an event around their plans, with open lawns, orchard areas, gardens and agricultural surroundings near the Cosumnes River Preserve. The restored historic mansion and its grounds offer distinctive backdrops for ceremonies, photographs and guest gatherings. Separate bridal and groom preparation rooms provide private spaces for getting ready, while the ranch's outdoor areas can accommodate different event layouts. The venue also notes guest parking and restroom facilities for larger gatherings.

Alongside weddings and receptions, the ranch welcomes company picnics, corporate celebrations, industry gatherings, festivals, car shows and hobby events. Its open setting is suited to organisers looking for an outdoor location with space for guests and activities, rather than a conventional indoor function room. The historic character and rural landscape give events a clear sense of place, while the flexible grounds allow each organiser to plan a layout suited to the occasion.

Prospective organisers can request a tour by appointment to explore the property and discuss their event needs. McFarland Ranch is within reach of Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto and the Bay Area, making it an option for planners seeking a countryside venue in the wider Sacramento region.
