Gate Street

Set among the fields and woodland of the Surrey Hills, Gate Street is a family-run countryside venue for weddings, private celebrations and corporate events. Its rural setting offers a change of scene from town, while the venue is close to Guildford and within reach of London by rail.

The venue has several indoor and outdoor spaces to suit different gatherings. The traditional barn can host larger celebrations, while smaller rooms provide options for more intimate occasions, meetings and workshops. Organisers can hire individual spaces or book the venue for exclusive use. The grounds extend the possibilities outdoors, with space for receptions, team activities and time in the countryside.

Weddings are a key part of the offering, with ceremony settings that include the barn, woodland and garden areas. Gate Street also welcomes corporate events, team away days, wellness gatherings, product launches, filming and photoshoots. Its team can help organisers shape an event and connect them with recommended suppliers, including caterers. Facilities include a licensed bar, tables and chairs, Wi-Fi, parking and a PA system in the barn, with screen hire available by arrangement.

On-site accommodation provides a convenient option for wedding parties and event guests who want to stay overnight. The collection includes distinctive rural units as well as larger self-contained properties, with accommodation for groups of different sizes. Together, the event spaces, countryside setting and overnight stays make Gate Street a flexible venue for occasions that benefit from bringing guests together in one place.
