The Cotton Room at Golden Belt

The Lucky Strike Suite is now presented as part of The Cotton Room at Golden Belt in Durham, rather than as a separate event venue. The Cotton Room is the bookable venue for organisers, while the Lucky Strike Suite name identifies a wedding preparation space within it. The venue occupies a former textile mill, with exposed brick, tall ceilings and large windows giving the setting an industrial character.

The Cotton Room hosts weddings, corporate meetings, retreats, galas, holiday parties and other social gatherings. Its 12,000 square feet of event space can be arranged for different occasions, from smaller get-togethers to larger celebrations for up to 400 guests. Wedding services include ceremony and reception options, packages, coordination and customisable floor plans. The venue also has preparation suites for the wedding party, including the Lucky Strike Suite.

For corporate and social events, organisers can work with the venue's event managers on layouts and décor. In-house culinary staff prepare menus for seated dinners and food stations, with options tailored to the occasion and guests' dietary needs. The venue describes its offering as a full-service experience, combining event space, catering and planning support. Complimentary parking is also listed among its amenities.

Set in downtown Durham's Golden Belt district, The Cotton Room suits planners looking for an adaptable historic setting with event support on site. The current business website identifies the venue as The Cotton Room at Golden Belt and provides its address in Building 2, Room 350.
